CAPSULE #1 FABRIC & DESIGNS

With next week's launch almost upon us we thought it would be appropriate to give you a closer look at our first collection, made up of 3 unisex items in two colour-ways, black and natural.

The Daido Jacket

A boxy, drop shouldered unisex jacket. 5 large, smooth and matte buttons structure the front the jacket, with all but the bottom button hidden behind a placket when done up. The inside of the jacket is part lined with a natural cotton of the same colour. Across the jacket you find a number of striking lines including a pleated back panel and a turnover button on the cuffs.

We're using a black, medium weight, cotton canvas  that holds it’s structure brilliantly and really emphasises the lines of the pattern. Our natural version uses a slightly lighter cotton / linen canvas blend but still holds it shape. Due to the undyed treatment of this fabric it boasts pockets of natural fibrous flecks which give it plenty of organic character. Both are washable at 30.

The Haruki Trouser

Made using the same fabrics as the Daido Jacket our unisex Haruki Trouser is a statement piece. A wide tapered silhouette finishing with a slight crop. A deep single pleat runs down to just above the knee, providing a lot of character to the trouser. The waistline is adjustable through the use of 2x button side adjusters which will allow for a couple of inches. We will be providing a far more in depth size guide next week when the capsule opens.

The Nara Shirt

Our unique one button shirt is made with a silk noil in both black and natural. A raw and slubby silk, it's made from the short fibres from the cocoon rather than a continuous length of silk so it has a rough texture and doesn’t crease easily. The shirt has a distinctive collar with an open neckline punctuated by a single button and loop. At its hem sit deep angular slits that give the shirt a relaxed drop and allow the fabric to hang beautifully. This is dry clean only for it’s first number of cleans, though as it wears, washing at 30 is safe.

If you’d like to attend next week's launch on 16.5.24 at The Ministry London, please do drop us a message and we will add you to the guest list.
